Join the Lumbee Tribe of N.C. for the "Dance of the Harvest Moon" Powwow from September 27 to September 29, 2024, at the Lumbee Tribe Cultural Center, 638 Terry Sanford Drive, Maxton, North Carolina. The event is one of the largest powwows on the East Coast, and it welcomes some of the best drum groups and dancers from around the nation. Tickets range from $5 to $20.

The 2024 head staff includes Louis Campbell and Ciena Fedor as head male and female dancers; Billy Hunt is the head drum judge; Nicholas Locklear is the head dance judge; Patrick Green is the arena director; JD Moore and Marty Thurman are the emcees; and WarPaint (Northern) and Otter Trail (Southern) are the host drums.
The Lumbee Powwow has something for everyone. Guest will enjoy Powwow dancing, a dance contest for men and women and a drum contest. There will also be cultural demonstrations throughout the weekend.
