Discover the Salt River Indian Community!

Skeg Tash (Good Day) and welcome to the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community in sunny Arizona. The Salt River Indian Community is home to two distinct tribes, the Akimiel O’odham (Pima) and Xalchidom Piipaash (Maricopa); both share the same cultural values and ties to the land, but maintain their own unique traditions.

Under the warm Arizona sun, Spring is the perfect time to relax, reconnect and rev things up and the Community’s Talking Stick Entertainment District is the perfect place to do just that! Spend a few days exploring the area and make lifelong family memories with one-of-a-kind experiences.

Day 1

Enjoy breakfast and cultural art inspiration at the Bistro at the Courtyard by Marriott Scottsdale Salt River. Make plans to spend a some time exploring the award winning USS Arizona Memorial Gardens at Salt River before soaking up the Arizona sun at a Spring Training game at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick, home of the Arizona Diamondback and Colorado Rockies! Enjoy the game with family and friends, then continue your afternoon of play at Talking Stick Resort, Mavrix Entertainment Center or Bam Kazam- an escape room adventure center.

Day 2

Grab a quick breakfast at the Blue Coyote Café at Talking Stick Resort where you can enjoy breakfast with local flair then head to Butterfly Wonderland to reconnect and rejuvenate. Walk among over 2000 free flying butterflies in America’s largest rainforest atrium. Continue your day of relaxation at the Native Art Market at the Pavilions shopping center, then take in a round of Glow in the Dark, 3D mini golf at Imagine, just across the street! Dinner and drinks with a view can be enjoyed at Talking Stick Golf Club or Talking Stick Resort. *Salt River Tip: ask for a west facing bay at Orange Sky around sunset and wow your guests! Day 3

Book an early morning massage at The Spa at Talking Stick or book an early morning tee time at Talking Stick Golf Club and catch a glimpse of wild horses, rabbits and coyote during your round.

Adrenaline in the afternoon can be enjoyed at Octane Raceway, where you’ll experience kart racing, VR games and an arcade, iFLY indoor sky diving or Topgolf which showcases spectacular views of the McDowell Mtns. After an afternoon of family fun, enjoy the sunset while walking around the Pavilions at Talking Stick Classic Car Show, featuring over 200 classic cars, motorcycles and live music.
